Thanks for your message. My younger brother wasn't really involved, apart from receiving the text. I think my friend had probably moaned about my fiance to him on the way to my house. The problem with my frined is exactly as you said, he doesn't take into account how his actions will make others feel. I've made it clear to him that I'm not expecting him to even pretend that he likes her, just to show some respect and be polite. Haven't spoken to him since he called to apologise but will have to see him soon as it's my stag night in a couple of weeks!!!

Just because you love someone does not mean others need to like or even respect her, but they should at least be polite. I think he isn't your friend if he does not understand how you are likely to feel regarding his behaviour towards your fiance.

What interests me is your brother's role in this. Does he also share reservations about your choice of bride?
